Dick C. Hoogerdijk was Born 1963 in The Hague. He studied Technical Economics at the H.T.S. in The Hague, Netherlands. After 2 years working for Install Data - one of the major COMPAQ distributors - from 1987 to 1989 he and two colleagues established Computer Connections Group in Holland.
As CEO of Computer Connections Group Mr. Hoogerdijk conducted this company to one of the major storage distributors in Europe, with subsidiaries in Holland, France, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom and in the U.S.A. In 1998 he made the final decision to merge with Freecom Computer Peripherie in Berlin and completely re-organized the new company from a distributor to a manufacturer. The new name: Freecom Technologies.
Till today, he manages the company in a consistent way and always reacts in the right time at the right speed and implements the right changes. His management resultes in a history of profitability for 19 years in a row. Strategically he is always working for future changes and challenges of the company and markets and is committed to do this without loosing the grip on todays reality in current business opportunities.
Mr. Hoogerdijk has travelled in many parts of the world - USA, Europe and Asia providing him with a cross-cultural perspective. He is well known in the PC and consumer electronics market, specifically in the storage market with 22 years of experience. Especially in Japan he managed to start partnerships with global acting companies, like Hitachi, Fujitsu, Toshiba and I-O Data.
Michel Blonk, CFO of Freecom Technologies was born in The Hague, the Netherlands in 1971. Gained a bachelor's degree in Economics. In 1992 he started his career at an audit company and practiced a broad range in this audit company.
In 1997 Michel Blonk joined Freecom as a controller. After a few years he became the Group Controller of Freecom and worked closely together with former CFO Ben Kostwinder; who at this moment is a member of the supervisory board of Freecom.
In 2005 Michel left Freecom for a new challenge as controller for an international company in the fishing industry. In 2007 Michel Blonk returned to Freecom as the new CFO of Freecom Technologies.
